Located in Wolowiro Village, Paga Subdistrict, Sikka Regency, Koka Beach is famous for its white sandy beach and snorkeling spot. Just a short walk away is Mau Lo'o Village where you can find Maumere's traditional houses and get a glimpse of the island's culture.

Old Catholic Church

Built in 1873 by St. Francis of Assisi, Maumere's Old Catholic Church is a European style architecture and a symbol of the island's Catholic majority.

Sikka Village and Watublapi

About 30 kilometers from Maumere, Sikka Village shows the process of ikat weaving where threads are turned into beautiful and lightweight fabrics. Watublapi Village is also famous for its figurative motifs with geometrical shapes and animals like lizards, horses and birds, reflecting the region's rich artistic heritage.

The best time to dive Alor & Maumere is during the dry season, from April to November. This period offers calm seas, excellent visibility (ranging from 15 to 30 meters), and thriving marine life, making it the prime time for divers. October to November often brings cooler currents and the occasional appearance of big pelagics, including hammerheads and mola-mola.

While diving is possible year-round, December through March marks the rainy season. During this time, you can still dive, but expect more rain, rougher seas, and reduced visibility. Despite these conditions, this is still a beautiful time to experience Alor and Maumere, particularly for those seeking a quieter, off-peak experience.
